Warm, engaging and authentic, with a natural Lancashire accent. Darren's voice is conversational, trustworthy and characterful, equally at home delivering gentle storytelling, dry humour, authority or emotional depth. He can range from friendly and reassuring to rich, reflective and dramatic, bringing clarity and connection to every script. Based in Brighton, Darren is a professionally trained actor who studied at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and later completed an MA in Text and Performance through RADA and Birkbeck. He is currently the voice of the UK Purina Gourmet Cat and has worked across commercial, corporate, documentary and narrative projects. Alongside his voice work, he is the creator and host of the podcast 'the story pilgrim', drawing on a lifelong love of stories, travel and human connection.
