Biography

James has had a long and successful career as a voice artist. Beginning his career as a fully contracted radio actor in the drama department of the ABC and working as an announcer and newsreader for the 0/Ten Network in Australia; before becoming an eminent and specialist voice performer for radio, television, animation, games and film dubbing in the UK. He was the original voice of Sky TV announcing programmes there for over a decade.

As a major player in the advertising industry and in all media, he has voiced thousands of projects locally and for countries all over the world he still does from his bespoke home studio in Scotland.

As a performer James has appeared in numerous films and a multitude of television shows as a featured actor and host; and as a leading man on London's West End stage.
Since returning to live in Scotland he has completed four films, Romans, starring opposite Orlando Bloom, Tommy's Honour - directed by Jason Connery, La Correspondenza with Jeremy Irons and Boyz in the Wood, with Eddie Izzard which has just opened the Edinburgh International Film Festival. He is currently recording the voice of Voom Buckstop (aka Donald Trump) for the award winning Gold Podcast 'Once upon a Time in Zombieville' for BBC Schools.
